Subject Databases, For Other Subjects

Just as we have the Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals, the first stop for references to articles about architecture, landscape architecture, and urban planning, other disciplines have their own subject databases. Working on a project involving a school, a sculpture garden, or a hospital? You might find some useful resources by searching an education, art, or health database.

• If your topic is one that might appear in the newspapers try LexisNexis Academic--News and Access World News (includes The Star Press and Indianapolis Star).

Search tip: when searching another subject's database, use more general words (such as architecture, building, design, garden, park, or school) than you would in the Avery Index.
