Urban Planning Subjects in CardCat

Like many library catalogs, CardCat uses Library of Congress Subject Headings. While it is not necessary to search using these subject headings, it is helpful to know what keywords are used in the catalog. For example, "city planning" is used as a subject heading instead of "urban planning."

Examples of urban planning subject headings:

Cities and towns--[Place name]
City planners
City planning
City planning--Environmental aspects
Housing
Public buildings
Regional planning
Suburbs
Sustainable development
Urban beautification
Urban policy
Uban renewal
